Born Different

Meet Norman A dog named Norman, who moos rather than barks, is the star of a new campaign of five television ad spots and numerous print ads funded by the Gill Foundation that are designed to make people think of homosexuality in personal rather than religious or political terms. The ads are running in Colorado Springs, a city often at the center of the national gay rights debate that is also the home of damaged goods James Dobson and the location of his anti-gay group Focus on the Family's headquarters. We saw this poster for the Ali Forney Center on the B train this morning and it really hit home. The Ali Forney Centers' mission is "to help homeless LGBT youth be safe and become independent as they move from adolescence to adulthood." Oh No They Didn't

New York's top court still hates us fags: sadly, in a 4 to 2 ruling, they've decided that same-sex couples have no constitutional right to marry. The court also ruled unanimously that the state legislature is constitutionally permitted to continue operating under the delusion that they are living in fifties-era Texas. But? At least ass-fucking is still legal. We're just not going to get a tax break for it.
